Magic Boxes - Teacher Gifts

So for this year I decided to make these "magic boxes" for teacher gifts. They are so easy to make...especially when you have tons of paper like I do. :-) The first one I made was for ds's teacher for teacher appreciation week. The last 6 I made were for my kids Sunday School teachers. I still have to make 2 more for dd's teachers this week as a thank you for the whole year.

As you can see in the picture I put something in each box. One box held a little card like the one shown below. Then one box I have a picture that was hand drawn by my kids. Then one box held Hershey's Kisses ("Kisses") and the other box held Hershey's Hugs ("Hugs"). So far the teachers have loved them...who wouldn't love to get chocolate and a thank you for being so special! :-)

The last picture is of all the Sunday School boxes. Sorry it was a last minute picture before I forgot to take it...so you see our washing machine. :-)

Okay a friend posted this link and I went and looked...I couldn't pass it up. I would love to have some copics to try out. :-)

Magent Board with Corkboard

Okay I made this a couple months ago and just realized it never posted...it was sitting in draft. So here it is for you to enjoy!

I made this for my mother-in-law for a Christmas present and now I finally made one for me. You can easily make it any size you want. I bought cork board from walmart (in the office supply section) and then underneath the paper are pieces of flashing (galvanized only) that I glued onto a backing. I find it cheaper and easier to buy it in the small flashing pieces so that I can cut and use any size I need. It runs about $0.50 a sheet...so cheap! The bigger one is from a cheap frame bought at Walmart and painted the color I needed. I also just painted the cork board the color to match what ever paper I choose for the project. So go make one with any frame that you have in your house and have fun!
